Middle School Minds: Life Skills & Culinary Arts (6th–8th Grade) Give your child the skills they need for independence and success in the kitchen with Home Economics and Culinary Arts! This hands-on course is perfect for middle school students to learn essential life skills. They’ll explore kitchen etiquette, from how to properly handle utensils to cooking safety. Students will gain confidence in preparing basic meals for themselves and discover the importance of a clean, sanitary kitchen. By the end of the course, your child will have the knowledge and experience to cook healthy, delicious meals, while maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment. Join us for a fun, practical learning experience that will last a lifetime! New! Theater Camp: Frozen Jr. (JK–8th Grade) Join the magic in this summer’s theater production: Frozen Jr.! In this two-week camp, campers will experience the excitement of producing Frozen Jr. from start to finish. They’ll learn acting, singing, and dancing while bringing beloved characters like Elsa, Anna, and Olaf to life. With hands-on opportunities in stagecraft, costume design, and set building, children will gain valuable theater skills and confidence. The camp will culminate in a live performance for family and friends, making this the perfect experience for young performers of all levels! NOTE: This is a 2-week camp. Enrollment in both week 6 and 7 is required to participate. New! Spanish for Beginners (JK–2nd Grade) ¡Bienvenidos! Join us for a fun-filled week of Spanish for Beginners! In this camp, elementary students will be introduced to the basics of the Spanish language, including simple vocabulary, greetings, numbers, and everyday phrases. Through interactive games, songs, and hands-on activities, campers will build confidence and develop a strong foundation in Spanish, making learning a new language fun and exciting! English proficiency required. New! Creative Cooking (JK–5th Grade) Get ready to cook up some fun in this hands-on cooking camp! Students will learn how to prepare a variety of simple, no-appliance recipes they can use in the future. From tasty snacks to creative meals, campers will explore new ingredients and cooking techniques while gaining confidence in the kitchen. This camp is perfect for young chefs looking to create delicious dishes safely and independently! Please note, the camp recipes contain gluten, dairy, nuts, and eggs. Robotics Jr (JK–3rd Grade) Robotics combines engineering, science, and technology skills to create machines that perform tasks and solve problems! Using VEX robots, campers will unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices. Students will learn the concepts of Machine Intelligence, which is found in almost all the devices and machines around us, from cars to home automation to smartphones. The students will work to design the robot, build it, and move it by remote control. They will learn about robot sensors, which enable the robot to “feel” its environment. Robots are only limited by your imagination! Picturesque Poetry (2nd–5th Grade) Explore the world of poetry with Mrs. Owens! Tap into your creativity and express your emotions through words. Students will dive into different types of poetry while crafting and illustrating their own unique pieces of art. PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm): Build a Pizza Shop (4th–6th Grade) Looking for an engaging and challenging project-based learning task to enrich your child? This is a perfect math challenge for students who need a challenge or enrichment, and they’ll love getting to work within a budget to “purchase” ingredients for their pizza parlor. Students will practice many math skills while learning to work within a budget. They’ll finish the project by selling and serving pizza on Thursday. English proficiency required. Read It and Eat It (JK–2nd Grade) Step into the world of classic literature with a creative twist! Students will explore timeless stories, discussing key themes, characters, and main ideas. After each reading, they’ll complete a writing assignment inspired by the book. To wrap up each day, they’ll enjoy a fun and delicious cooking project based on the story’s food, bringing the narrative to life through both art and taste! New! Phonemic Fun (JK/K) Get ready for a fun-filled adventure into the world of letters and sounds! Mrs. Owens has packed this lively class with exciting, hands-on activities designed to boost phonemic awareness and phonics skills. Your child will love playing interactive games that involve matching letters to their sounds, identifying rhymes, and counting phonemes—all while building essential early reading skills. Pirate’s Paradise (JK–2nd Grade) Ahoy, young adventurers! Set sail on a pirate journey filled with excitement and discovery. In this action-packed camp, kids will dive into the thrilling world of pirates, learning to read treasure maps, create pirate crafts, and embark on daily treasure hunts. They’ll practice pirate lingo, design their own flags, and even craft their own pirate gear! With games, challenges, and imaginative adventures, this camp is the perfect opportunity for kids to unleash their inner pirate and experience a week of fun and friendship on the high seas! New! Highland Games (1st–5th Grade) Join us for a week of Scottish-style competitions, including exciting events like tug-of-war and the caber toss! Students will also create their own Scottish Clan (family), designing unique crafts and symbols to represent their team. It’s a fun, hands-on experience filled with friendly competition, creativity, and a touch of Scottish tradition!
