Week 3 June 29–July 2 Home / Camp & After School / Specialty Camps / Week 3 AM Sessions (9:00 am–12:00 pm): Middle School Mathletes (6th–8th Grade) Sharpen your math skills and strengthen your problem-solving power! In this high-energy camp, students will take on daily math challenges, brainteasers, and team competitions designed to stretch their thinking and boost confidence. From logic puzzles and strategy games to real-world math applications, campers will discover that math can be both exciting and rewarding. Whether you love numbers or just want to level up your skills, this camp will help every student think critically, collaborate, and have fun along the way! Speed and Agility Training (JK–3rd Grade) Get ready to boost athletic agility in a week filled with high intense training. Campers will take part in a series of fast-paced drills that will increase their endurance, strength, and even confidence. Basketball, football, and soccer games will be incorporated throughout the week to build on athlete’s hand eye coordination, acceleration, and communication among teammates. Does your child have what it takes to excel in their athletic abilities? Come find out! Once Upon a Slime (JK–5th Grade) Get ready for a fairy-tale twist on everyone’s favorite gooey fun! In this hands-on STEM camp, students will explore the science of slime while creating magical mixtures inspired by their favorite storybook characters and adventures. From glittery unicorn slime to dragon fire slime, campers will mix, stretch, and experiment while learning about chemical reactions, measurement, and texture. It’s a happily-ever-after of creativity, curiosity, and messy fun! Monster Math (1st–2nd Grade) Join Mrs. Owens for a monstrously fun week of math adventures! In this hands-on camp, students will strengthen their number sense, addition, subtraction, and problem-solving skills through exciting games, creative crafts, and playful monster-themed activities. Campers will build confidence in their math abilities while discovering that numbers can be both silly and fun. Get ready to count, create, and conquer math with a monster-sized smile! . STEM Math Quest (3rd–5th Grade) Embark on an exciting adventure where math meets imagination! In this hands-on camp, students will tackle daily STEM challenges that blend problem-solving, logic, and creativity. From designing bridges and solving escape-room-style puzzles to completing math-based quests and experiments, campers will discover how math powers the world around them. Working together as mathematicians and engineers, they’ll build confidence, teamwork, and a love for learning through engaging, real-world applications of STEM! Little Engineers (JK–3rd Grade) Get ready to build, imagine, and explore! In this hands-on camp, young makers will dive into the exciting world of engineering using K’Nex building kits. Each day brings a new challenge as campers design, construct, and test their own creations- bridges that hold, cars that roll, and machines that move and light up! Along the way, they’ll experiment with strength, motion, and design as they create themed builds like castles, space rovers, and animal habitats. This camp inspires creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as campers bring their imaginative ideas to life- one design at a time! Summer Art Workshop (JK–5th Grade) Does your child love expressing themselves through art? In this class, young artists will explore a variety of creative techniques, including watercolor, layered tempera, mixed media, and unique materials, to craft one-of-a-kind masterpieces. With methods designed to inspire imagination and individuality, this class encourages every child to let their creativity shine! PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm): K-Cultural Explorers (4th–8th Grade) Step into the vibrant world of Korean culture! Each day highlights a new theme, giving campers a taste of Korea’s rich traditions and modern influences. Students will cook simple Korean snacks, learn everyday phrases, explore traditional art, crafts, and music, and even play classic Korean games. Of course, no week would be complete without some K-pop fun! It’s the perfect blend of creativity, culture, and connection for curious explorers ready to discover all things Korea! Basketball Bootcamp (JK–3rd Grade) Lace up your sneakers and get ready to dribble, shoot, and score! In this high-energy camp, young athletes will learn the fundamentals of basketball through fun drills, games, and teamwork activities. Campers will practice skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting while building coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship. Whether new to the sport or already love the game, every player will have a ball at Basketball Bootcamp! Barnyard Buddies (JK–2nd Grade) Moo, cluck, and oink your way through a week of farmyard fun! In this hands-on camp, children will learn all about their favorite barnyard animals through playful crafts, engaging stories, and interactive games. Each day brings new opportunities to explore life on the farm while building creativity and curiosity. Perfect for little animal lovers, this camp combines learning and laughter in a week full of down-on-the-farm adventures! Reading with a Purpose (1st Grade) Join Mrs. Owens, who has designed this class to help students delve into texts to better identify, interpret, and infer using a variety of literary strategies. Her tailored lessons will provide a wonderful environment for students to receive differentiated instruction to improve their reading skills for the upcoming school year. Topics include analyzing text structure, understanding the author’s purpose, drawing inferences, and identifying context clues. Novel Study: The Lemonade War (2nd–3rd Grade) Join us for a week of reading, creativity, and friendly competition as we dive into The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies! Campers will explore the story of siblings Evan and Jessie as they face off in a lemonade-selling challenge full of clever strategies, real-world math, and lessons in teamwork. Through engaging discussions, hands-on projects, and themed activities, students will strengthen reading comprehension, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills- all while having a blast bringing the story to life! Novel Study: Snoop (4th–8th Grade) Dive into the suspenseful and fast-paced world of Snoop by Gordon Korman! In this week-long novel study, campers will explore mystery, teamwork, and problem-solving as they follow a thrilling story filled with twists and turns. Through engaging discussions, reading comprehension activities, and creative projects, students will strengthen literacy skills while uncovering clues and connecting with Korman’s unforgettable characters. Perfect for readers who love a good mystery and the excitement of figuring out “whodunit!” Ceramics (4th–8th Grade) Clay, glaze, paint, and new friends will make up this week of creative artistry as campers explore the stages of clay piece production. With having our very own kiln right here on campus, campers will be able to decorate cups, plates, bowls, etc., with paint and glaze, and then items will be fired on-site and ready to go home to be shared with family members!
