Week 2 June 22-25 Home / Camp & After School / Specialty Camps / Week 2 Full Day Sessions (9:00 am–4:00 pm): Intensive School Year Prep (JK/K, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th-5th Grade) Get ready for success in the upcoming school year with our full day academic summer camp! Designed to mimic a classroom setting, students will review and reinforce key concepts in math, reading, and writing while engaging in new, level-tailored lessons. Campers will also receive an assessment created by the teacher on the final day, giving you valuable insight into your child’s progress. This camp provides a focused, supportive environment to build confidence, strengthen skills, and ensure a smooth transition into the next grade. *English Proficiency Required. AM Sessions (9:00 am–12:00 pm): Middle School Bake Off (6th-8th Grade) Ready, set, bake! In this exciting, hands-on camp, students will step into the kitchen to mix, measure, and decorate their way to sweet success. Each day brings new baking challenges that test creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills- from cupcakes and cookies to show-stopping desserts. Campers will learn fundamental baking and decorating techniques while competing in friendly, “Bake-Off”-style games. It’s the perfect blend of fun, flavor, and a dash of friendly competition! Soccer Hot Shots (JK–2nd Grade) Join us for an exciting soccer camp where students will develop their skills, teamwork, and love for the game! Through engaging drills, fun scrimmages, and personalized coaching, participants will improve their passing, shooting, dribbling, and defensive techniques. This camp is designed for players of all skill levels to build confidence, stay active, and have a blast on the field! Digital Gaming & Design Workshop (3rd–6th Grade) Step into the exciting world of gaming and design! In this hands-on camp, students will explore both the competitive and creative sides of gaming. Campers will learn the fundamentals of teamwork, strategy, and communication through friendly esports challenges while also becoming game designers themselves. Using accessible tools like Scratch, Bloxels, and Minecraft Education, students will design and test their own simple digital or board games. Along the way, they’ll be introduced to core design principles such as objectives, rules, balance, and player feedback. Campers will prototype, playtest, and refine their creations (just like real designers) while also learning about digital citizenship and responsible online gaming. It’s the perfect blend of creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking! PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm): Read it & Eat it (JK-1st Grade) Step into the world of classic literature with a creative twist! Students will explore timeless stories while focusing on a different reading comprehension skill each day. Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, they’ll strengthen fluency and deepen their understanding of key themes, characters, and main ideas. To wrap up each day, campers will enjoy a fun and delicious cooking project inspired by the story’s food; bringing each tale to life through both creativity and taste! STEM Science Quest (2nd-5th Grade) Dive into the fascinating world of science! This hands-on camp invites students to think like scientists as they experiment, observe, and explore the forces that shape our world. Each day features exciting investigations in chemistry, physics, and earth science, plus fun STEM challenges that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. From making predictions to testing hypotheses, campers will build real-world science skills and discover how experimentation leads to amazing discoveries! Middle School Book Club: Out of My Mind (6th-8th Grade) Dive into the inspiring world of Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper! In this book club, students will read and discuss this powerful story about determination, friendship, and finding your voice. Through engaging conversations, creative activities, and thoughtful reflections, campers will explore themes of empathy and resilience while connecting deeply with Melody’s unforgettable journey.
