AM Sessions (9:00 am–12:00 pm):

Orchestra: Heritage Oak Students ONLY (4th–5th Grade)

This class will prepare Orchestra students for the upcoming school year. Students will work in an ensemble with multiple instruments and sections. They will learn new techniques with their respective instruments and focus as a group on music theory, music history, listening and aural skills, music notation, and new music terms.

Debate Club (6th–8th Grade)

In this exciting middle school class, students will learn the art of debate by exploring current events, practicing public speaking, and building strong arguments. Through fun and engaging activities, students will develop critical thinking skills, learn how to respectfully disagree, and gain confidence in speaking in front of others. Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or new to debating, this class offers a supportive environment to sharpen your skills and make your voice heard!

Back to School Literacy Skills (JK/K Grade)

Get ready for kindergarten success! This camp focuses on building early literacy skills through engaging, hands-on activities designed just for young learners. Students will strengthen letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and beginning reading skills while exploring stories, songs, and fun literacy games. In a supportive, classroom-like environment, campers will gain confidence and excitement for learning, ensuring a smooth and positive start to the new school year!

Back to School Reading Bootcamp (1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, 4th-5th Grade)

Back to School Bootcamp is the perfect camp to refresh school skills during our final week of summer camp! The morning session will focus on Reading. Designed to mimic a classroom setting, students will review and reinforce key concepts in grammar, reading, and writing while engaging in new, level-tailored lessons. This focused, supportive camp helps build confidence, strengthen skills, and ensure a smooth transition into the upcoming school year.

Build a Farmer’s Garden (JK–5th Grade)

Have you ever wished you could have your own stall at a Farmer’s Market or Street Fair? In Mrs. Bernard’s Build a Farmer’s Market Camp, students will create their own Farmer’s Market by preparing signs and stalls and selling REAL crafts and goods at our Farmer’s Market, which will take place on the last day of camp! Campers will also learn about how food grows and is harvested from a REAL farmer who will visit the class to tell us about their job! Students will also take part in exciting planting projects they’ll get to take home! Don’t miss this chance to DIG IN and have fun at this summer’s Farmer’s Market!

PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm):

Back to School Math Bootcamp (JK/K, 1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, 4th-5th Grade)

Back to School Bootcamp is the perfect camp to refresh school skills during our final week of summer camp! The afternoon session will be focused on math. Designed to mimic a classroom setting, students will review and reinforce key concepts in mathematics while engaging in new, level-tailored lessons. This focused, supportive camp helps build confidence, strengthen skills, and ensure a smooth transition into the upcoming school year.

Kid Presidents: Build a Nation (JK–8th Grade)

Are you the future president of the United States? If so, Mrs. Bernard wants YOU to join this popular camp. In our Kid Presidents – Build a Nation camp, the citizens of our country will vote on a name and flag for our special country, and we will elect officers to run our nation, including a president! THEN the fun begins: We will build our new land out of cardboard, plenty of paint, props, and some good old-fashioned hard work! Once our land is built, our nation will be open for business! Teachers and students from Camp Heritage Oak will be welcomed as a grand finale to tour our very own special place. Campers will learn all about cities, important jobs, counting money, working toward a common goal and being a part of the community. This is a chance for your child to dive into his or her own imagination, develop critical thinking skills, and learn what it takes to make a city run. It’s the perfect combination of learning and fun!

So Totally 90’s Crafts (2nd–8th Grade)

Get ready to sparkle and shine- 90s style! In this throwback craft camp, we’ll deck out accessories with rhinestones, jewels, and puffy paint, and weave colorful lanyard keychains straight out of the ultimate 90s trend book. On our last day we will create fun hairstyles with braids, hair wraps, and butterfly clips so you can rock your 90s look all day long! From glitter to friendship flair, the creative possibilities are totally endless!
