Week 1 June 15–18 Home / Camp & After School / Specialty Camps / Week 1 AM Sessions (9:00 am–12:00 pm): Middle School Fashion Camp (6th–8th Grade) Step into the world of fashion and bring your creative vision to life! In this week-long camp, students will explore the fundamentals of fashion design, from sketching and color theory to fabric selection and styling. Campers will learn how trends are created, experiment with design tools, and create their own wearable art pieces and accessories. With opportunities to showcase their creativity through mini design challenges and a final fashion showcase, this camp is perfect for aspiring designers ready to turn their ideas into reality! Step into Spanish (1st–3rdGrade) Bienvenidos! Join us for a fun-filled week of Spanish for beginners! In this camp, elementary students will be introduced to the basics of the Spanish language, including simple vocabulary, greetings, numbers, and everyday phrases. Through interactive games, songs, and hands-on activities, campers will build confidence and develop a strong foundation in Spanish, making learning a new language fun and exciting! Little French Pastry Makers (JK–3rd Grade) Satisfy your sweet tooth and learn the art of French baking! In this hands-on camp, students will create classic French treats such as pastries, cookies, and other delectable desserts to take home and share with family. Campers will explore baking techniques, practice kitchen skills, and have fun working alongside friends while discovering the joy of French cuisine. No knowledge of French required. ALLERGY ALERT: Please note, the camp recipes contain gluten, dairy, nuts, and eggs. Archery Adventures (2nd–8thGrade) Take aim and let your arrows fly! Join Miss Albano, an experienced archery enthusiast, for an exciting week of learning focus, form, and precision. In a safe and supportive environment, campers will discover the fundamentals of archery, such as the proper stance, aim, and safety- all while building confidence and coordination. Whether you’re brand-new to the sport or looking to sharpen your skills, this camp promises fun, challenge, and success! **Campers are welcome to sign up for both sessions, but please note that the activities will be the same in each session. Phonics & Writing (JK-K Grade) Strengthen early literacy skills through fun-filled songs, movement, and hands-on learning! This engaging camp helps young learners build confidence in reading and writing through interactive phonics games, songs, and center-based activities. Students will practice vowel and consonant sounds, blends, and spelling patterns while creating their own sight word cards. They’ll also develop sentence-writing skills through fun and creative journal prompts; all while building a strong foundation for future reading success! Oceanic Exploration (2nd–5th Grade) Dive into an underwater adventure! In this week-long camp, students will explore the mysteries of the ocean while learning about fascinating sea creatures, unique ecosystems, and the science of the deep blue. Through hands-on experiments, creative crafts, and interactive marine-themed challenges, campers will discover how the ocean impacts our planet and why it’s so important to protect it. From coral reefs to tide pools, each day will offer new discoveries and plenty of splash-worthy fun for every young ocean explorer! Rockin’ Robots (JK–3rd Grade) Robotics combines engineering, science, and technology skills to create machines that perform tasks and solve problems! Using VEX robots, campers will unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices. Students will learn the concepts of Machine Intelligence, which is found in almost all the devices and machines around us, from cars to home automation to smartphones. The students will work to design the robot, build it, and move it by remote control. They will learn about robot sensors, which enable the robot to “feel” its environment. Robots are only limited by your imagination! PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm): French Pastry Pros (4th-8th Grade) Satisfy your sweet tooth and learn the art of French baking! Ceramics Jr. (JK-3rd Grade) Clay, glaze, paint, and new friends will make up this week of creative artistry as campers explore the stages of clay piece production. With having our very own kiln right here on campus, campers will be able to decorate cups, plates, bowls, etc., with paint and glaze, and then items will be fired on-site and ready to go home to be shared with family members! Artist’s Limelight (2nd-5th Grade) Art History in a flash! Come learn the classification of art and the artists that made them famous. In this class, your child will be introduced to basic art techniques while learning about the artist’s style, vision, method, and material. Each student will create a piece inspired by famous artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo Da Vinci, Antoni Gaudi, and Wassily Kandinsky. Summer Science Fair (3rd-5th Grade) Calling all young scientists! In this hands-on camp, students will explore the scientific process as they design and carry out experiments, record data, and present their findings. From forming hypotheses to showcasing final projects, campers will strengthen their curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills while preparing their very own mini science fair display! Crafting with Fine Motor Skills (JK/K Grade) Little hands will get creative in this fun and skill-building art camp! Through guided craft projects, students will strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow directions, all while exploring colors, shapes, and textures. Each day features themed projects, from zoo and jungle animals to patriotic creations, allowing campers to practice cutting, gluing, coloring, and assembling with confidence. By the end of the week, students will have their very own art book filled with colorful masterpieces to take home and treasure! Jurassic Explorers (JK–2nd Grade) Travel back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth! In this hands-on camp, young paleontologists will dig into the prehistoric world through exciting dinosaur-themed crafts, activities, and science experiments. Campers will explore fossils, learn about different dinosaur species, and even create their own dino discoveries to take home.
