In this week-long camp, students will explore the fundamentals of fashion design, from sketching and color theory to fabric selection and styling. Campers will learn how trends are created, experiment with design tools, and create their own wearable art pieces and accessories. With opportunities to showcase their creativity through mini design challenges and a final fashion showcase, this camp is perfect for aspiring designers ready to turn their ideas into reality! Theater Production (3rd–8th Grade) Week 4 (July 6–9) Step behind the scenes and discover the magic of backstage production in this exciting camp with Miss Kyte! Students will craft props, design sets, and learn the technical side of theater, including working with microphones, audio, and lighting. This hands-on experience is the perfect opportunity to help set the stage for the upcoming play, Winne the Pooh. Join us for a week of creativity and teamwork as we bring the show to life! Meet Your Heroes: Fire and Police Training Squad (JK–5th Grade) Week 4 (July 6-9) Do you want to meet real police officers, military members, and fire fighters? In Meet Your Heroes camp, not only will you actually train for the jobs of these heroes, you will get to meet them in real life, and go into their police car and fire trucks! This camp is perfect for any child who loves to do good or be a hero, or has interest in police, firefighting, or the military! Theater Week Winnie the Pooh Kids-TWO WEEK CAMP (JK–8th Grade) Week 5 (July 13-16) Join the magic in this summer’s theater production: Winnie the Pooh Kids! In this two-week camp, young performers will experience the joy of bringing A.A. Milne’s beloved characters, like Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore, to life on stage. Campers will learn the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing while building confidence and teamwork. They’ll also take part in stagecraft, costume design, and set creation to make the Hundred Acre Wood truly come alive. The camp will culminate in a heartwarming live performance for family and friends; an unforgettable adventure for young actors of all experience levels! NOTE: This is a 2-week camp. Enrollment in both week 5 and week 6 is required to participate. Robotics (4th–8th Grade) Week 5 (July 13-16) Robotics combines engineering, science, and technology skills to create machines that perform tasks and solve problems! Using VEX robots, campers will unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices. Students will learn the concepts of Machine Intelligence, which is found in almost all the devices and machines around us, from cars to home automation to smartphones. The students will work to design the robot, build it, and move it by remote control. They will learn about robot sensors, which enable the robot to “feel” its environment. Finally, they will learn programming in order to give the robot the ability to perform some defined tasks autonomously. Robots are only limited by your imagination! NASA Dreams Rocket Science (JK–8th Grade) Week 5 (July 13-16) 3, 2, 1 – BLAST OFF! Mrs. Bernard invites your child to come to our NASA Dreams Rocket Science camp and get ready to experience the fun of flight! From the Wright Brothers all the way to the future of space travel, Rocket Science Camp will be jam-packed with excitement! Use our super rocket launcher to create a water rocket that will blast over 100 feet into the air! Find out what it is like for astronauts in zero gravity by completing anti-gravity challenges and even eat Astronaut Ice Cream! Create your own army man parachute! Find out what it takes to drop an egg from a building without letting it crack! Learn to fold and fly the “Paper Airplanes of the Day”! Fly on over to NASA Dreams Rocket Science Camp! **Please note that this camp will be offered in the morning and afternoon during this week. Students are welcome to join both sessions, but the activities will be the same. Little Lego Architects (JK–3rd Grade) Week 8 (August 3-6) Get ready to build, design, and create! In this hands-on camp, young engineers will explore the exciting world of architecture and construction using Legos. Each day, campers will take on fun building challenges; like designing tall towers, strong bridges, and creative structures, while learning the basics of balance, shapes, and teamwork. With imagination as their blueprint, students will have a blast bringing their ideas to life and sharing their amazing creations with friends by the end of the week! Digital Design Studio (6th–8th Grade) Week 9 (August 10-13) Unleash your creativity in this exciting camp where technology meets crafting! In this modern camp, your child will learn how to use innovative tools like the Cricut machine to bring their craft ideas to life. From custom designs to personalized creations, you’ll explore digital platforms like Canva to design your own unique pieces. Whether it’s making custom shirts, cards, or home decor, this camp empowers you to combine technology and imagination to become a true craft designer. Build a Farmer’s Garden (JK–5th Grade) Week 10 (August 17-20) Have you ever wished you could have your own stall at a Farmer’s Market or Street Fair? In Mrs. Bernard’s Build a Farmer’s Market Camp, students will create their own Farmer’s Market by preparing signs and stalls and selling REAL crafts and goods at our Farmer’s Market, which will take place on the last day of camp! Campers will also learn about how food grows and is harvested from a REAL farmer who will visit the class to tell us about their job! Woody & Buzz’s Toy Workshop (JK–8th Grade) Week 4 (July 6-9) To infinity and beyond! Step into the world of imagination where campers become the toymakers! Each day, students will dream, design, and build their own incredible creations. From crafting action figures and race cars to designing costumes and imaginative playsets, this camp blends creativity, building, and storytelling in one exciting adventure. Campers will paint, decorate, and personalize their toys, then proudly showcase their masterpieces at the end of the week. Cowboy’s Campout (3rd–6th Grade) Week 4 (July 6-9) Saddle up for a rootin’-tootin’ good time in the Old West! Campers will step back in time to learn about life on the frontier through stories, songs, and hands-on activities. Each day will bring a new adventure, like trying simple cowboy-style cooking, crafting western-themed projects, and exploring the history and traditions of the Wild West. With campfire tunes, creative crafts, and plenty of cowboy spirit, this camp is the perfect mix of fun, history, and imagination! In this hands-on camp, students will dream up business ideas, design products, and pitch their creations just like real entrepreneurs. Through teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, campers will learn what it takes to bring an idea to life and become the next generation of innovative leaders! Mad Scientists (JK–3rd Grade) Week 7 (July 27-30) Get ready for a week of wild, wacky, and wonderfully messy science fun! In this hands-on camp, curious minds will dive into experiments that bubble, fizz, and pop as they explore the magic of chemistry, physics, and more. Campers will make predictions, test their ideas, and discover how science shapes the world around us, all while laughing, learning, and getting a little messy along the way. It’s the perfect camp for kids who love to experiment and explore! Run a Pizza Shop (4th–6th Grade) Week 8 (August 3-6) Looking for an engaging and challenging project-based learning task to enrich your child? This is a perfect math challenge for students who need a challenge or enrichment, and they’ll love getting to work within a budget to “purchase” ingredients for their pizza parlor. Students will practice many math skills while learning to work within a budget. They’ll finish the project by selling and serving pizza on Thursday. Fashion School: Wearable Wonders (2nd–5th Grade) Week 8 (August 3-6) Step into the world of creative fashion design! In this hands-on camp, students will transform everyday materials, including recycled and found objects, into unique wearable art. Campers will explore texture, color, and design as they experiment with combining different elements to craft accessories and imaginative fashion pieces. From bold statement jewelry to runway-ready creations, this camp celebrates creativity, sustainability, and self-expression through art and design! Circus & Magic Training (JK–8th Grade) Week 9 (August 10-13) Are you ready to join Mrs. Bernard in the The Greatest Show? In circus and magic training camp, students will learn to be the ultimate performers by mastering illusions, magic, and the great art of circus performance! Making objects disappear, taming (pretend) animals, and jumping through actual hoops are all a part of our incredible show! On the last day of camp, our performers and magicians will amaze and dazzle their family members with a circus show for all ages! Don’t miss the chance for your little magician or acrobat to show what they can do at The Greatest Show: Circus & Magic Training! Summer of Superheroes (JK/K Grade) Week 9 (August 10-13) Calling all heroes! In this action-packed camp, students will discover their inner superpowers through creative games, crafts, and team challenges. Campers will design their own superhero costumes, create secret identities, and complete daily missions that build confidence, kindness, and courage. By the end of the week, every hero will be ready to save the day! Kid Presidents: Build a Nation (JK–8th Grade) Week 10 (August 17-20) Are you the future president of the United States? If so, Mrs. Bernard wants YOU to join this popular camp. In our Kid Presidents – Build a Nation camp, the citizens of our country will vote on a name and flag for our special country, and we will elect officers to run our nation, including a president! THEN the fun begins: We will build our new land out of cardboard, plenty of paint, props, and some good old-fashioned hard work! Once our land is built, our nation will be open for business! Teachers and students from Camp Heritage Oak will be welcomed as a grand finale to tour our very own special place. Campers will learn all about cities, important jobs, counting money, working toward a common goal and being a part of the community. This is a chance for your child to dive into his or her own imagination, develop critical thinking skills, and learn what it takes to make a city run. It’s the perfect combination of learning and fun!
