Music Camps Home / Camp & After School / Specialty Camps / Music Camps AM Sessions (9:00 am –12:00 pm): Orchestra (4th–5th Grade) Week 10 (August 18–21) This class will prepare Orchestra students for the upcoming school year. Students will work in an ensemble with multiple instruments and sections. They will learn new techniques with their respective instruments and focus as a group on music theory, music history, listening and aural skills, music notation, and new music terms. Heritage Oak students only. PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm): Ukulele Luau (3rd–8th Grade) Week 4 (July 7–10) Join Mrs. Lovero for a fun-filled Hawaiian-themed camp where you’ll play the ukulele and sing along to classic tunes like “Aloha Oe” and other island favorites! If you have a ukulele, feel free to bring it along and share in the music-making. Campers will also explore Polynesian culture, create beautiful leis, participate in a hula-hooping contest, and experience the spirit of Hawaii through music and activities. Get ready for an unforgettable island adventure! New! Music & Movement (JK–2nd Grade) Week 5 (July 14–17) Get ready to move and groove with Mrs. Owens in this exciting new summer camp! In this high-energy class, students will explore rhythm, dance, and musical instruments through fun activities and catchy tunes. As they tap into their creativity, they’ll develop coordination, listening skills, and a lasting love for music. Mrs. Owens is thrilled to share her passion for music in this upbeat and engaging camp—don’t miss out on the fun!
