In this exciting camp, campers will learn the art of storytelling through animation, experimenting with tools and techniques to create their very own animated projects. The Bubble Lab (JK–5th Grade) Join Mrs. Prince in The Bubble Lab, where science meets fun! Get ready for hands-on experiments and bubbly excitement! PM Sessions (1:00 pm–4:00 pm): Volleyball (JK–8th Grade) Does your child enjoy playing volleyball? Enjoy a week full of fun inside the gym, practicing and perfecting your child’s bump, set, and spike! This camp will help to improve coordination skills in a positive learning environment made for all levels. Children will learn proper stance, proper footwork for spiking the ball, diving, how to serve (under and overhand), and how to receive the ball. This is a great summer camp to get ready for volleyball season. Robotics (4th–8th Grade) Robotics combines engineering, science, and technology skills to create machines that perform tasks and solve problems! Using VEX robots, campers will unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices. Students will learn the concepts of Machine Intelligence, which is found in almost all the devices and machines around us, from cars to home automation to smartphones. The students will work to design the robot, build it, and move it by remote control. They will learn about robot sensors, which enable the robot to “feel” its environment. Finally, they will learn programming in order to give the robot the ability to perform some defined tasks autonomously. Robots are only limited by your imagination! Art of Origami (2nd–5th Grade) Mrs. Owens is thrilled to bring back her popular origami camp this summer! Dive into the art of paper folding as we explore its fascinating origins and master basic to intermediate folds. Origami is not only a relaxing and creative pastime but also helps improve memory, focus, and hand-eye coordination. Join us for a fun and rewarding journey into this timeless art form! New! In My Slime Era (JK–5th Grade) Get ready for a week of Swiftie fun as we mix music and slime! In this Taylor Swift-themed slime camp, we’ll create custom slimes inspired by her iconic albums, from glittery “Fearless” slime to mood-changing “Midnights” slime. Nonfiction Readers (2nd–3rd Grade) Boost your nonfiction reading skills in this engaging summer camp with Mrs. Paramo! Students will explore a variety of nonfiction texts, learning to understand their unique structures and styles. Through interactive activities and guided practice, campers will build confidence in navigating and comprehending nonfiction—a common challenge for many students. Join us for a week of discovery and growth in nonfiction literacy! English proficiency required. New! Stitch & Style (4th–8th Grade) In this camp, we will learn the basics of crocheting, sewing, embroidery, and needlepoint! Students will learn about these materials, focusing on new material each day.
