Middle School Minds: Culinary Culture Fiesta Foods (6th–8th Grade) Get ready to spice things up in this hands-on culinary adventure! Middle schoolers will explore the vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine, learning to create delicious dishes like arroz con leche, guacamole, and refreshing agua fresca. Students will dive into the culture behind these festive foods while mastering simple cooking techniques. Whether they’re building the perfect bite or crafting colorful papel picado decorations, this camp promises a fiesta of flavor and fun. Perfect for foodies and budding chefs alike! Grammar Olympics (4th–8th Grade) Get ready for the Grammar Olympics with Mrs. Bernard! This fun and interactive academic camp will have students competing in events like capitalization, punctuation, spelling, and word usage, all while aiming to Go for the Gold! Throughout the week, we’ll strengthen our memory muscles with rules, guidelines, and strategies, then put our skills to the test in games designed to beat previous scores in each event. Join Mrs. Bernard for a week of learning, laughing, and striving for Grammar Gold! English proficiency required. Watercolor Wonder (JK–5th Grade) Does your child love to paint using watercolors? Students will learn how different techniques help them explore their creativity as they produce beautiful and original works of art. Students will do a step-by-step drawing, use fine motor skills, and use their creativity to come up with their very own masterpiece. Children will take home all of their projects. Shark Week (JK–3rd Grade) Dive into the excitement of Shark Week with Mrs. Plumlee in this jaw-some camp, timed perfectly with the real Shark Week this summer! Elementary students will learn all about sharks, their habitats, and the important role they play in our oceans. Through fun, hands-on activities, crafts, and games, campers will explore shark anatomy, behavior, and conservation efforts. Get ready to sink your teeth into learning in this fin-tastic camp! Introducing Math Around the World (1st–2nd Grade) Mrs. Owens and her students will “travel” to different countries, solving addition and subtraction challenges along the way. With interactive games, hands-on activities, and a personalized “mathport”, your child will build confidence and strengthen their math skills while having a blast. Each day, students will face new math challenges that they must solve to “escape” the great challenge.
