Week 7: July 29th – August 1st

AM Reader’s Theater – 1st-2nd
Become a reader’s theater superstar! In this fun and exciting camp, students will strengthen their reading fluency skills by practicing and performing a reader’s theater script. Students will get different roles and work together in groups to work on their expression, eye contact, and presentation skills. They will build their confidence and have fun creating props and backdrops to go with their stories. At the end of the week, their stories will be brought to life for their reader’s theater performance! *English Proficiency Required.

AM Read & Sequence – JK/K
This class will focus on engaging the student while working on comprehension, fluency, and building confidence. Each story will provide students with a genuine opportunity to practice reading short stories they can decode with phonics skills and sight word recognition. This class is ideal for the struggling reader or beginning reader as the stories will provide work in the foundation of reading through phonics and sight words. *English Proficiency Required.

AM Advanced Novel Study – 3rd-5th
Students will read a novel selected by the teacher throughout the week that contains a fully integrated, creative, and comprehensive curriculum. Students will work on answering detailed comprehension questions, vocabulary, story element analysis, projects, and engaging worksheets. Students will also be given their own copy of this novel to keep! *English Proficiency Required.

AM Bubbly Bubology – JK-8th
Become a bubble-ologist and make your own bubbles. Create bubble wands, discover art & science with bubbles, learn to make bouncing bubbles, and much more!

AM Theater Camp – Seussical Jr. – TWO WEEK CAMP – JK-8th
Must enroll in week 6 to participate.

AM Ultimate Unicorn Camp – JK-3rd
Always be yourself – unless you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn! We’ll get to spend four lucky days being unicorns in this ultimate unicorn camp! Join us for a magical week of fun-filled crafts, games, and magnificent activities! Have you ever heard of unicorn slime? Students will get to create their very own in this camp! We will also craft whimsical, one-of-a-kind unicorn jewelry, and each camper will be the artist of their very own original unicorn painting! Gallop on over to ultimate unicorn camp!

PM Multiplication Nation – 3rd-5th
Multiplication is one of the most important math skills practiced in upper elementary grades! Knowing these facts ahead of time will not only help your student with accuracy but will allow them to focus on learning steps to multi-digit multiplication and division! This accelerated class will provide special strategies, daily drills, and fun activities to help master these facts! *English Proficiency Required.

PM Boot Scootin’ Dance Camp – 2nd-8th
If you can walk, you can line dance! Come on out to learn more about line dancing. Line dancing is a great way to exercise, have fun in a group, and increase your memory capacity as you build on learning new steps. We will be using basic line dances to learn patterns and build more spatial awareness as we learn more about social dancing in a fun and friendly environment.

PM Winter in July – JK-8th
Campers will experience the fun and excitement of winter in July! Engaging projects and activities will be completed each day that will include “snowball fights”, decorating winter cookies, creating your very own snow globe, and SNOW much more! Come and escape the summer heat and join our winter wonderland!

PM Viva El Español – 2nd-4th
In this class, campers will enjoy learning Spanish through various mediums. Students will learn basic songs that involve numbers, colors, animals, food and more. Outdoor games from Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries will keep the students active and refreshed. This enriching camp will be rounded-out with fun crafts such as mini piñatas and maracas.

PM Printing Powers & Fine Motor Skills – JK/K
Students will practice their printing using both uppercase and lowercase letters. This class will focus on proper formation, letter spacing, neatness, size, and consistency. A variety of tools including sand, yarn, crayons, watercolor paint, shaving cream, chalk, and glue will add fun and excitement to the class as students perfect their skills. This camp is most useful for students who would like to improve their fine motor skills and penmanship. *English Proficiency Required.

PM Summer Art Workshop JK-5th
Does your child love to create art? This class will focus on using watercolor techniques, layered tempera paint, unique materials, and mixed media to build distinctive art pieces using methods that encourage your little artist to shine through their creations.
