AM Guided Reading Gurus – JK/K
This class is designed to help students delve into texts to better identify, interpret, and infer using a variety of literary strategies. Our tailored lessons will provide a wonderful environment for students to receive differentiated instruction to improve their reading skills for the upcoming school year. Topics include analyzing text structure, understanding the author’s purpose, drawing inferences, and identifying context clues. *English Proficiency Required.

AM Reading with a Purpose – 1st-2nd

AM Exploding Experiments – JK-8th
POP, FIZZLE, BANG! What’s that? It’s exploding experiments! Your child can come learn all about exploding science. In this hands-on interactive science camp, students will learn about chemical reactions, mixing elements, and how to make science go BOOM! **Please note that this camp will be offered in the morning and afternoon during this week. Students are welcome to join both sessions, but the activities will be the
same.

AM Theater Camp – Seussical Jr. – JK-8th
Must enroll in week 7 to participate.

AM Watercolor Wonder – 2nd-8th
Does your child love to paint using watercolors? Students will learn how different techniques help them explore their creativity as they produce beautiful and original works of art. Students will do a step-by-step drawing, use fine motor skills, and use their creativity to come up with their very own masterpiece. Children will take home all of their projects.

PM Number Ninjas –  JK/K
Why is it important to teach children to count? Children love counting and it’s necessary that your child becomes familiar with numbers because their counting skills will lead to other mathematical concepts that your child will encounter in the upcoming school year. This camp will involve more than just counting numbers, but it will also allow students to understand the meaning that numbers hold. *English Proficiency Required.

PM Math Fact Fanatics – 1st-2nd
Let’s Practice! Knowing addition and subtraction facts is the key to growing strong mathematicians! Come practice each day as we learn special strategies, complete daily drills, and have fun understanding the reasoning of addition and subtraction. *English Proficiency Required.

PM Interactive Math – 4th-5th
Along with creating an Interactive Math Notebook, students will learn about fractions, graphing, money, word problems, and more. This is a great class for the reluctant math student as it teaches many math concepts in a fun and interactive way! Children will also use iPads and the Promethean Board to integrate technology into their learning. *English Proficiency Required.

PM Robotics – 4th-8th
Robotics combines engineering, science, and technology skills to create machines that perform tasks and solve problems! Using VEX robots, campers will unlock the power of their imagination by designing and constructing remote-controlled robotic devices. Students will learn the concepts of Machine Intelligence, which is found in almost all the devices and machines around us, from cars to home automation to smartphones. The students will work to design the robot, build it, and move it by remote control. They will learn about robot sensors, which enable the robot to “feel” its environment. Finally, they will learn programming in order to give the robot the ability to perform some defined tasks autonomously. Robots are only limited by your imagination!

PM Folklore and Fables – JK-2nd
Sing, dance, and craft your way through some of the most beloved children’s folk songs and stories! Our children need this genre of music. Songs such as “Anansi the Spider,” “Down by the Bay,” and “Frère Jacques,” teach our children about history in a fun and engaging manner. We will use our voices, move our bodies, play percussion instruments, and create crafts inspired by some of these old-time tales
