Week 1: June 17th – June 21st

AM Jr. Jedi Training Academy – JK-3rd
Is your child ready to test out their Jedi skills and show they have The Force? A variety of activities will take place this week; some will be mental…for the true path of the Jedi encompasses body, mind, and soul. It is only through the harmonious integration of these three aspects that one will find Wisdom, Humility, and Peace. Campers will also be able to make their very own Lightsaber and duel with Star Wars villains, learn how to recite the sacred Jedi Oath, and participate in the initiation ceremony. After promising to use all new powers for good, each young Jedi will receive an Honorary Jedi Knight certificate **There will be NO class on Wednesday due to the Juneteenth Holiday. Specialty class will run on Friday.

AM Clay Creations – 3rd-8th
Clay Creations is a camp where your child can explore their artistic creativity by using clay as a medium. We will learn to make a pinch pot, a clay donut, and more. In addition to our time with clay, students will get to glaze premade bisqueware, just like going to their favorite ceramic painting stores. Show off your artistic skills in this fun and creative camp! **There will be NO class on Wednesday due to the Juneteenth Holiday. Specialty class will run on Friday.

PM The Art of Origami – 2nd– 5th
Come learn the art of origami! Discover its fascinating origin and learn some basic to intermediate folds. This art form is not only known to increase memory, concentration, and eye coordination, but it is also quite relaxing. **There will be NO class on Wednesday due to the Juneteenth Holiday. Specialty class will run on Friday.

AM Crafty Creations – JK-8th
Learn, make, and create! Release your inner artist by creating picture frames, wind chimes, and so much more in this hands-on art class!

AM Young Debaters – 3rd-5th
During the “Young Debaters” Camp, students will develop essential communication, critical thinking, and public speaking skills through engaging activities and teamwork. Our camp is designed to boost your child’s confidence in expressing their thoughts and ideas in a supportive and nurturing environment. Children will enjoy friendly debates on age-appropriate topics while exploring their creativity and having fun learning this important and valuable set of skills. Don’t miss the chance to help your child become a more articulate and confident communicator!

PM Kid Presidents: Build a Nation – JK-8th
Are you the future president of the United States? If so, you’ll need some training! In our Kid Presidents – Build a Nation camp, the citizens of our country will vote on a name and flag for our special country, and we will elect officers to run our nation, including a president! THEN the fun begins: We will build our new land out of cardboard, plenty of paint, props, and some good old-fashioned hard work! Once our land is built, our nation will be open for business! Teachers and students from Camp Heritage Oak will be welcomed as a grand finale to tour our very own special place. Campers will learn all about cities, important jobs, counting money, working toward a common goal and being a part of the community. This is a chance for your child to dive into his or her own imagination, develop critical thinking skills, and learn what it takes to make a city run. It’s the perfect combination of learning and fun!

Week 3: July 1st – July 3rd

AM Express Yourself – 3rd-8th
Sometimes, it is harder for us to say what we need to say, whether it be due to shyness or concern of our peers’ opinions. In Express Yourself, we will work on sharing in class by participating in community circles, learning active listening and kind responding skills, and participating in group and individual activities involving social emotional learning games. By the end of the course, students will feel more confident in their speaking and sharing abilities and make new friendships over the week. They’ll also have a fun binder to bring home their newfound skills and crafts to remember what they learned in Express Yourself. ** There will be NO class on Thursday due to the 4th of July Holiday. Specialty class will run on Friday.

AM Circus & Magic Training – JK-8th
Are you ready for The Greatest Show? In circus and magic training camp, students will learn to be the ultimate performers by mastering illusions, magic, and the great art of circus performance! Making objects disappear, taming (pretend) animals, and jumping through actual hoops are all a part of our incredible show! On the last day of camp, our performers and magicians will amaze and dazzle their family members with a circus show for all ages! Don’t miss the chase for your little magician or acrobat to show what they can do at The Greatest Show: Circus & Magic Training!
**Please note that this camp will be offered in the morning and afternoon during this week. Students are welcome to join both sessions, but the activities will be the same. * There will be NO class on Thursday due to the 4th of July Holiday. Specialty class will run on Friday.

PM French Desserts – JK-8th
In this camp, we will prepare delicious French desserts that you will be able to take home and share with your family. Come and learn new French recipes, have fun baking with your friends and enjoy tasty and unique delicacies! No knowledge of French required. All ages are welcome. ** There will be NO class on Thursday due to the 4th of July Holiday. Specialty class will run on Friday.

Week 4: July 8th – July 11th

AM Cookie Making Masters – 3rd-8th
Does your child love to help bake cookies? This week will be spent making a different cookie each day. We will start with the basic chocolate chip cookie recipe and venture into other popular cookies. The children will read recipes, organize their ingredients, prepare their dough by measuring accurately, and enjoy their cookies at the end of class each day. Cookies to share will come home each day as well.
**Please be aware that ingredients may have been processed in facilities that process peanut products. The children will come in contact with these ingredients.

AM Ceramics – JK-2nd
Clay, glaze, paint, and new friends will make up this week of creative artistry as campers explore the stages of clay piece production. With having our very own kiln right here on campus, campers will be able to decorate cups, plates, bowls, etc., with paint and glaze, and then it will be fired on-site and ready to go home to be shared with family members!

AM Enchanted Toy Workshop – JK-8th
If you think Santa’s Elves are the best toy makers, then you haven’t visited this Enchanted Toy Workshop! Every day, our creative builders will get to craft one or more incredible new toys! Whether your preference is building bears, crafting cars, or designing the best costume mask and cape, this camp will feature activities you’ll love. Students can build, paint, and decorate in whatever way matches their unique style. On the final day, campers will reveal the Enchanted Toy Shop, where they can display, trade, and sell their toys, or even choose one to donate to CHOC Hospital! Enchanted Toy Workshop: Because when you build your own toys, they become treasures.

PM Pirates & Mermaids – JK-2nd
Pirates or Mermaids – what shall we be? Join me for an adventure under the sea! Shiver me timbers all hands-on deck, splash your way into a fun week of pirate and mermaid activities and crafts! Students will get to dive deep into either or both of these fun themes, and by the end of the week, they’ll have a whole collection of exciting activities– with learning mixed in, too! Don’t let your child miss out on the chance to transform into a pirate or mermaid!

Week 5: July 15th – July 18th

AM Shark Week – JK-3rd
Dun DUN. Dun DUN. Dun DUN dun DUN!!! What’s that fin poking out of the water? It must be SHARK WEEK! This JAWSome camp will not only be chock full of shark crafts, but it will include science, math, literacy, and art! Students will enjoy learning all about sharks and our oceans while also practicing many school-year skills. What’s better than enjoying shark-tastic activities, while also honing reading skills, science knowledge, and even math? Don’t miss out on Shark Week!

PM Barbielicious – JK-3rd
Is your child ready to embrace their inner Barbie doll? All it takes is sparkles, glitz, and glam to create the most perfect weeklong Barbie bash! Campers will have the chance to craft their very own Barbie dream house, make glamorous accessories, and design Barbie’s newest and most fashionable outfits. This Barbie Bash is one you won’t want to miss!

Week 6: July 22nd – July 25th

AM Theater Camp – Seussical Jr. – TWO WEEK CAMP – JK-8th
Must enroll in week 7 to participate.

AM Watercolor Wonder – 2nd-8th
Does your child love to paint using watercolors? Students will learn how different techniques help them explore their creativity as they produce beautiful and original works of art. Students will do a step-by-step drawing, use fine motor skills, and use their creativity to come up with their very own masterpiece. Children will take home all of their projects.

PM Folklore and Fables – JK-2nd
Sing, dance, and craft your way through some of the most beloved children’s folk songs and stories! Our children need this genre of music. Songs such as “Anansi the Spider,” “Down by the Bay,” and “Frère Jacques,” teach our children about history in a fun and engaging manner. We will use our voices, move our bodies, play percussion instruments, and create crafts inspired by some of these old-time tales.

Week 7: July 29th – August 1st

AM Ultimate Unicorn Camp – JK-3rd
Always be yourself – unless you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn! We’ll get to spend four lucky days being unicorns in this ultimate unicorn camp! Join us for a magical week of fun-filled crafts, games, and magnificent activities! Have you ever heard of unicorn slime? Students will get to create their very own in this camp! We will also craft whimsical, one-of-a-kind unicorn jewelry, and each camper will be the artist of their very own original unicorn painting! Gallop on over to ultimate unicorn camp!

PM Winter in July – JK-8th
Campers will experience the fun and excitement of winter in July! Engaging projects and activities will be completed each day that will include “snowball fights”, decorating winter cookies, creating your very own snow globe, and SNOW much more! Come and escape the summer heat and join our winter wonderland!

PM Viva El Español – 2nd-4th
In this class, campers will enjoy learning Spanish through various mediums. Students will learn basic songs that involve numbers, colors, animals, food and more. Outdoor games from Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries will keep the students active and refreshed. This enriching camp will be rounded-out with fun crafts such as mini piñatas and maracas.

Week 8: August 5th – August 8th

AM Carnival Games (Themed Enrichment) – JK-5th
Step right up for a week of fun! In this camp, students will plan, design, create, and build their very own carnival games and activities. Students will learn about the importance of teamwork, as they help one another to test out their creations and make them more fun. At the end of the week, you are invited to have a day of excitement playing and enjoying your child’s crafty creations!

PM Nailed It! – JK-8th
Have you ever seen the show Nailed It! on Netflix? Get ready for a little friendly competition! Campers will participate in a competition where they will try to recreate cool and exciting cakes, cookies, and other treats by being the decorator. They will get to use frosting, sprinkles, and other toppings to make incredible looking desserts. After a round of voting and a winner being chosen each day, the campers will get to enjoy their delicious desserts! Let’s make some edible masterpieces!

PM Safari Week – JK-3rd
Is your child ready for a WILD week? Come and join our jungle of fun as we set off on a safari through the jungle. Along the way, we will meet unique animals, sing safari songs, learn more about the jungle habitat, and so much more. It is going to be a ROARIN’ good time!

PM Artist’s Limelight – 2nd –5th
Art History in a flash! Come learn the classification of art and the artists that made them famous. In this class, your child will be introduced to basic art techniques while learning about the artist’s style, vision, method, and material. Each student will create a piece inspired by famous artists such as Gaudi, Picasso, Kadinsky, and Donatello.

WEEK 9: August 12th – August 15th

PM Spanish Boot Camp – 4th-8th
This is a week of fun interactive conversations in Spanish. Students will get to learn basic thematic vocabulary through songs and short videos and jump right into authentic conversational Spanish! Students will build up their self-confidence and be able to speak with their teacher and classmates during the first lesson using everyday simple Spanish expressions. A theme will be chosen and activities will be completed each day to follow the weekly theme. No previous Spanish classes needed.

PM Clay-zee Artists – JK-3rd
Learn how to make your own dough and clay! We will mix a wide variety of ingredients to make different colorful textures every day. You will create your own sculptures to keep or transform again and again. From edible play dough to homemade clay you can paint, you are the scientist, the chef and the artist that will design your own creations!

WEEK 10: August 19th – August 22nd

AM French Boot Camp – JK-5th
This is a week of fun interactive conversations in French. Students will get to learn basic thematic vocabulary through songs and short videos and jump right into authentic conversational French! Students will build up their self-confidence and be able to speak with their teacher and classmates during the first lesson using everyday simple French expressions. No previous French classes needed.

AM Inventor’s Workshop – JK-3rd
Have you ever thought about a better way to do something? If so, you’re a problem-solver and an inventor in the making! Join us for a fun-filled week of tinkering, building, and problem solving as we learn about famous inventors and the steps they took to achieve their success. As part of our workshop, campers will be busy exploring how some appliances and machines work. We’ll examine the internals of some machines by opening up various appliances and machines to see how they function. We will also design and create a few of our own inventions. Your young inventor will also learn how to make his/her own batteries and experiment with simple circuits.

PM Digging for Dino’s – JK-2nd
Join the “dino diggers” this summer and explore the amazing prehistoric world of dinosaurs. This camp is a must for all young paleontologists. Campers will learn about dinosaur anatomy, behavior, and even traits that are around today through hands-on activities and projects like fossil digging, creating fossil replicas, and incredible dramatic play activities.

PM Intro to Strings – 1st-3rd
This introduction to strings class will prepare students for the upcoming school year. Students will become familiar with the different parts of the violin and start to understand the musical notes that create a beautiful sound. They will learn new techniques with their violin and focus as a group on music theory, music history, listening and aural skills, music notation, and new music terms.
